From vows spoken
beneath a chuppah in New York City in 1988 to living today
with a houseful of bird dogs (Vizslas, to be precise) in
New York’s rural Hudson Valley, Daphne Weisbart and Michael
Fenenbock have run MAX Films as a different kind of political
advertising firm. Specializing in tough legislative races,
mostly in California and New York, MAX Films consistently produces
television and radio spots that stand out from the usual political
ads.
Their work combines an understanding of key
issues with a grasp of the creative process. By carefully choosing
and always respecting their collaborators, Michael and Daphne
are able to produce an exceptionally broad range of quality
work. For a small boutique ad company, MAX Films has won an
impressive number of major awards. More importantly, though,
is the remarkable success rate enjoyed by their clients. Because
as nice as great work is, it’s small consolation to the
candidate who finishes second.
In addition to its campaign work, MAX Films is a contributor
to the Pajamas Media interview series.
In association with Alafim Productions Israel, MAX Films produced
the 2007 short film, Hatikvah: Portraits
from the New Israeli Right.
